Our sixth production of Stories From the Inside Out is Saturday evening, February 6, 2016 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

The reception – hosted by the St. Spatula Guild – will begin at 7:00pm. There will be art work of the eight women we served on display, plenty of great food, beer, wine, and other beverages to enjoy.

The staged reading will begin at 7:30pm. The actors charged with presenting the stories of the eight incarcerated women we served are: Tia Ade, Arianne Ellison, Jenny McKnight, Laura Shatkus, and Addison Staples.

After the staged reading there will be a panel discussion: Incarceration, Storytelling, and Reentry. The panel discussion will be moderated by Padma Viswanathan, author and professor at the U of A. The five panelists are: Judge Christi Beaumont, Drug Court Judge; Loren Copley, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Sociology at the U of A; Geffrey Davis, poet and Professor in the MFA Program at the U of A; Kathy McGregor, project director of Prison Stories; and Victor Velazquez, former inmate in the Texas prison system.

There will be free child care provided by St. Paul’s due to the adult content of the evening.

There is no need for reservations, and a $10 contribution is suggested.
