Jonny Schremmer

Theatre Director, Women’s Prison

Jonny Schremmer has been with the Prison Stories Project since moving to Fayetteville from New York City with her husband Troy and son Huck in 2013.  In New York, Jonny studied with Uta Hagen at HB Studio, acted with Theatre for a New Audience, Mabou Mines, Columbia University, New Georges, Six Figures, Mill Mountain Theatre and more.  She co-stars as Coach Webb in Mike Akel’s Independent Spirit nominated film CHALK and as Maddie in AN ORDINARY FAMILY.  Her play THE BALLAD OF RUSTY AND ROY (co-written with husband Troy Schremmer) was produced at the New York International Fringe Festival and developed at TheatreSquared’s Arkansas New Play Festival.

Locally Jonny played Gwen in “RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN” and Claire in “PROOF” at TheatreSquared, Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing” for The Classical Edge Theatre, and most recently Gilroy in “Craving Gravy” for ArkansasStaged.

Jonny is on the drama faculty at The New School in Fayetteville where she directs, teaches, and heads the after-school and summer programs.
